awesome, thanks for these SCG posts. I've recently rediscovered them and have been seeking out their stuff. my world of sound is definitely made poorer by Charles' passing.

thanks so much for posting this. it's a great record that's sadly unavailable. I compared the mp3's you posted to the ones I downloaded a number of years ago and noticed that your version of "Burning Nerve Ending Magic Trick" has the song in its entirety twice. Other than that, excellent job. The one I downloaded years ago was missing "helwa shak", so it was great to finally hear it.

WOW. THANKS. i saw the GIRLS play for free after a eugene chadbourne show at the knitting factory in 1989 [?] . [ ''we're gona play if you wanna stick around'' - no band name. i found out later who they were.
i never heard of them b4 that, and never forgot what i saw. pure genius. sorry to see you go Charles! sorry if this is a double post.
